A large, unglazed, rectangular pot, integrated feet, with rounded corners, featuring an inner rim with robust grounding and visual weight, yet it has a feminine sense of feeling.
The day I saw this pot at auction, I knew that I wanted it, no matter the cost.
So, I will keep it in my collection for now, as I really love it.
External dimensions: 45.2 x 37.2 x 9.8cm
Internal dimensions: 40.3 x 32.2 x 6.5cm
Condition: Excellent condition, with very minimal use, as evidenced by the almost unnoticeable hard water stains.
Watanabe Fumikazu, also known as Jukousan, was born in 1944 and is a renowned ceramic artist and second-generation owner of the Akira Shouzan kiln in Tokoname, Japan, specialising in bonsai pots. His work, particularly his unglazed rectangular pots, is highly regarded in the bonsai community.
