This rare handmade unglazed rectangular pot features an inner rim (内縁), receded straight-cut feet, and a refined middle band, with a subtle patina (風合い) and precise workmanship, showcasing the quality of Eiraku’s handbuilt works, which are much less common than his cast or moulded pieces. Cold-resistant (耐寒性) and suitable for exhibition—a fine balance of 用と美 (utility and beauty).
Stamped with his distinctive seal: featuring a stylised bonsai tree and the 永first character of Eiraku.
