A large, formal, unglazed rectangle in a refined rectangular design, by the second-generation artist of the Gyouzan kiln, of Tokoname Yuuji Nakano. (Now Retired!)
This 43.7 Japanese rectangular piece has been crafted from a high-quality blend of Tokoname clays, following Gyouzan’s recipe, and was hand-made to an elegant yet commanding form.
The pot sits on recessed feet with a stepped design and features banding on the base, providing a more balanced feel. Over time, a beautiful patina has been developed.
