Handcrafted by master potter Nakano Yukizyou Gyouzan, this unglazed rectangular pot (長方鉢 – chōhōbachi) embodies the subtle beauty of shibui (渋い) — simplicity with depth and elegance. Gently rounded corners, a refined fuchi (縁 – rim), and slightly outward-angled ashi (足 – feet) give this piece lift and grace. Subtle obijō sōshoku (帯状装飾 – basal banding) at the base reinforces its visual structure and traditional aesthetic.
