An elegant handmade flared round Lotus-shape (Suehiro-gata Hachi) crafted in the Koshiwara-yaki (小石原焼) tradition, featuring a striking Namako glaze (海鼠釉). This glaze, known as "sea cucumber glaze," creates a beautiful cascade of deep blue, brown, and greenish tones, evoking the textures and natural fluidity of marine life. The surface exhibits fine vertical glaze streaks, a signature effect of high-temperature wood-fired kilns.
The pot’s flared form is both functional and aesthetically refined, ideal for accent bonsai or suiseki display. Its warm unglazed foot and subtle kiln marks further enhance its wabi-sabi appeal.
