Potter: Terahata Mazan (寺畑真山) also known as Mayama Mazan (真山窯)

A large, rectangular (chōhō-gata) featuring a gently flared walls and a wide, bevelled lip (fukuro-mimi style), basal band, refined corner stepped feet with subtle inward tuck, lending visual lightness despite the generous proportions. The glaze in a Lustrous 瑠璃色 (Ruri-iro) — a deep cobalt blue glaze, evenly applied with remarkable clarity and depth. The surface captures light to reveal subtle tonal shifts, enhancing the contrast with planted compositions.

Suitable for medium to large bonsai, particularly flowering (hanamono) and fruiting (mimono) species, where the rich blue will highlight seasonal colour.
