Detailed Background:

                 Hanno Souhei's Expertise:

Hanno Souhei, born in 1940, gained significant experience in ceramics before founding Senkoen. He spent a year studying raw materials and glazes at the Nagoya National Research Institute's experimental engineering laboratory, which heavily influenced his approach to pottery.

                Senkoen's Establishment:

In 1977, Senkoen began wholesale manufacturing, with "Senkoen" serving as the label for sales. Hanno Souhei remained the technical leader for the company, based in Tokoname.

               Focus on Quality and Detail:

Senkoen is renowned for producing pots that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, complementing the bonsai trees they hold.
