Description A vintage, artisan-made Japanese unglazed suiban (無釉水盤) from Tokoname, produced by SENKOEN (瀬光園) under Hanno Souhei (半野宗平). The form is a clean, low rectangular basin with straight walls (直立の立ち上がり) and a broad, flat interior plane, giving a calm, architectural presence suitable for suiseki display (水石用) and shallow landscape presentations.
The clay surface is natural and matte, showing the character of Tokoname material, with an appealing aged patina (経年の味わい / 経年変化) developed over time. The underside carries the impressed SENKOEN seal (瀬光園印).
