An elegant hand-crafted Tokoname 常滑 pot by the renowned artisan Takashi Kosaka. The form is a refined rectangular (長方形) shape with gently flared walls (反り), giving the piece a sense of quiet expansion and harmony. The broad outward-curving lip (口縁) imparts strength, while the precisely cut feet (切り足) elevate the pot with balance and grace.
The unglazed clay (無釉土), rich with natural sandy inclusions (砂気), glows with an earthy warmth that embodies the character of Tokoname-yaki. Subtle panel carving (面取り装飾) adds architectural depth, casting soft shadows across the surface.
