A beautiful unglazed rectangle in a traditional design, by the popular Senzan of Tokoname.
This 47cm rectangle is made from a Momo no hana, or peach blossom clay, in a traditional form. The pot sits on recessed stepped feet, and a slight lip to the rim, he has finished with a refined raised border, complementing the overall 'shibui' design. Note that each front and sides are decorated with a fine relief frame in a mokko design.
